Concordia Capital was originally established in 2000 in the Netherlands by Markwin Maring as co-initiator and fund manager of the MeesPierson Informal Opportunity Fund and its successor, the Concordia Fund. Over the years, Concordia Capital Netherlands B.V. and Concordia Investments B.V. invested in a wide range of private equity projects, initiated mergers and acquisitions, and built a diversified portfolio of private companies.
Following the global financial crisis that began in 2008, traditional leveraged financing from banks became increasingly limited. In response, Concordia Capital expanded its focus by partnering with private equity investors and family offices to provide growth capital and strategic funding for promising companies and projects.
Drawing on years of experience with Nasdaq-listed companies, including the successful delisting of a telecommunications software company from Nasdaq in 2022, Markwin Maring established Concordia Capital, Inc. in New York. The company was founded as a hedge fund with the objective of investing in attractive growth companies while introducing European investment opportunities to the U.S. capital markets.
In 2024, Maring established Concordia Capital B.V. in Antwerp as the group's international management services company.
Today, Concordia Capital operates across Switzerland, Europe, and the United States.
Supported by a team of experienced partners, we provide an international network and ecosystem for building businesses, partnering with entrepreneurs and investors, and delivering strategic and financial solutions. Our expertise includes growth financing, strategic transactions, secondary investments, and exit planning.
