Concordia Capital was established by Markwin Maring in the year 2000 in the Netherlands as co-initiator and fundmanager of the MeesPierson Informal Opportunity Fund and its successor, Concordia Fund. Besides private equity funds, over the years, Concordia Capital invested in various private equity projects, initiated mergers, acquisitions and got invested in various portfolio of private companies.
Due to the global financial banking crisis, which started in 2008, leveraged finance options with banks diminished and Concordia Capital starts partnering with private equity investors and family offices for financing and funding growing and promising companies and projects.
After many years of experience with Nasdaq and the successful delisting of a telecom software company at Nasdaq in 2022, Maring decided to set up Concordia Capital, Inc. in New York, as a hedgefund with the goal to invest in attractive companies and introduce European investment opportunities to the US capital markets.
In 2025 Concordia Capital is active in USA, Switzerland and Benelux with a team of experienced and seasoned partners, we offer an international network and ecosystem for supporting business owners and investors both strategically and financially in funding, realizing strategic plays and accommodate exits.
